This games addiction for the simple, old, dungeon gameplay makes it wicked!

Update 1.7: still great well worth the money. Not only is this a fun game and well worth 4$ but they keep updating it and adding new features. Keep up the great work. One quick suggestion - it would be great to have instructions for some of the new features on your website - I cant figure out how to use the wands. Oh well, Ill keep playing and try to figure it out. Thanks for the great game!

Awesome retro flavour. It is challenging as well, and the randomness makes if a different game every time. Love the sounds, simple but well suited. The animations are a nice touch. Lots of fun

I honestly have no idea why I downloaded this game, Ive never really liked RPGs or dungeon crawlers. It sat on my phone for awhile and I got bored one day and tried it. I wandered around aimlessly and died a bunch of times at first but then I started trying... Ive rescued the sword a few times and yet I keep playing. It is by far my favourite game on my phone now.

Awesome game, does it still count as a Rogue-like game? Above and beyond any other Rogue.

Nostalgic! Being a new iPhone user I am blown away by all the awesome apps available. This game is definitely worth serious consideration to all who enjoy dungeon crawlers - bravo to the developer(s)! I played this game on my old Vic20 (via cassette player) - glad I dont have to sit through 15 minute load times between levels now!! Thanks for a great game.

Not only does this game take one back to the hay-day of gaming, with aspects like excellent design, a simple, yet compelling concept and a great tone of suspense, but it is ad free, easy on the eyes and ears and seems to have found that Holy Grail of gaming, perfect difficulty. Many tries will be needed to bring the Sword back, and Im still trying on Legend difficulty. And Ill keep trying because this game is so much fun. Also the updates which provide more enemies and levels are worth mentioning. This is a superior product, hands down.

This game is great! Simple, clean graphics, old school sound effects, and classic gameplay! This is a great dungeon crawler! The controls are simple and very effective, fully utilizing the touch screen interface. They really add to the overall enjoyment of the game experience. Simplistic graphics aside, this game is quite challanging and will keep you comming back for more with randomly generated dungeons every time you play! With a major update on the way, this game just keeps on getting better! If you are looking for a classic dungeon crawling experience download Sword of Fargoal already!

Easy to pick up and play.

An update of the classic C64 game. Great fun!

So good...much better than the original. Scratches that "Hack" itch without being bogged down with cumbersome controls. Deceptively addictive. One of my most played iPhone apps. Multi-tasks perfectly...lets me listen to the wifi radio while making my way down the dungeon. Stops and saves state instantly without having to do anything but move to your other apps...perfection in pick up and play gaming. A must have for the old school and new school adventures out there.

Used to play it waaaay back when. Even better now. Only one gripe... Could add better inventory system and more gear to add a bit more complexity over the original.

An excellent dungeon crawler!

I wasnt sure what to expect when I got this game, but Im surprised at how much Im enjoying it! Its the perfect roguelike experience.

I played a lot of games as a kid but have quit years ago. I thought I would give this game a try one night around 11pm... I stopped playing once I got to the 27th floor the next day around 2pm. This game will rock your socks!!!
