Challenging, fun, and a bit retro. Good for killing time

This is a weird mish mash if new and old with amateurish graphics mixed with ok graphics mixed with the old crappy sounds from the 80s ... It just doesnt work well, especially with the annoying swipe controls.

Except the graphics are better :)

This game is much better than I expected; I still have not been able to beat it. The mazes have more than meets the eye to them. Enemies get tough quickly though. I suggest you grab as much xp from each level as possible before heading the the next. Definitely a good buy.

Really enjoyable game! Plumbing the depths, collecting treasure and slaying monsters has never been this fun! Appealing graphics coupled with an easy to use interface and autosaving make it a pleasure to play Fargoal.

I play during my train ride while I listen to music or podcasts so a game that kills my iPod audio is basically a waste of money for me. I wish there was some way to see that in the store before buying. I wanted to contact the developer directly but the only option I could easily find was their forum which isnt very iPhone friendly and requires registration. No clear path for support. I suspect I would like the game if I played it, but the audio issue is a dealbreaker for me.

This game was created for those who seek classic rogue-like adventures (like NetHack or Diablo). It lacks some elements: like distributing skill points or skills. But i think this was done for better. Your goal is to reach deeps of dungeon and return back with sword. This "easy" task has some difficulties: numerous traps; various monsters and time. Time will become valuable resource once you reach end of dungeon.

Old-school dungeon crawler. Need more variety thou.

Maybe too simple for hardcore roguelike gamers but funny and addictive. Polished graphics and highly replayable. After a year and more i still keep it installed!

Have enjoyed this immensely, but now it locks up when continuing a paused game. I see others with same issue. Make it happen!

This is one of the best, if not the best rogue-like game out there. Sadly,it freezes on the iPhone 6 Plus. There have been no updates in years and no developer responses to emails. Its probably time to remove it from the App Store.

You could play prior to ios 10, just without being able to change the player name. Now the game doesnt work at all. Do not purchase, the one hit wonders single wonder is finally completely broken. This game had its day on the Commodore 64, thirty years ago.

Great old school game. The dungeons are all random and complex. Darkness monsters and treasure around every corner. The game is simple but charming and I would easily pay a few bucks for it. Being that its free it makes it all the better. If you like classic dungeon exploring games, Its a must download

A blast! Brings me back to my childhood. Definitely worth the price of admission.

More streamlined and accessible than PC rogue like games, and much better UI than the iPhone ports of netball and similar. Id like a little more depth to character skills and leveling. Looking forward to v2.
