enjoyable

highly addictive rogue game with easy, intuitive controls. Graphics look great, game is fun, includes a mode where dying isnt a huge issue. If you can get this for 99 cents I suggest you buy it no matter what. If you enjoy rogue games and found hundred rogues relatively lacking, like myself, this game is a great buy. I would say it would even be worth the 4 buck usual price if you enjoy the genre.

Commodore 64 game I loved redone!!!

Love this game. It was a classic on the commadore and it translated well. Wish I knew what a drift spell did or which shields I can use better. Been playing for hours. Nice game. Recommend it to fans of retro gaming. This girl is hooked.

Best Roguelike on iOS

Far better than 100 Rogues. Solid, flowing gameplay. Complex enough for a roguelike but simple enough for touchscreen controls. I know graphics are not a big concern to a real rogue fan, but SoF has a beautiful, warm, bright look and the simple animations look great. Special mention has to go to the sound. Effects are in a great modernized chip tunes style. And the music? Wow. I normal turn music off on most games, but this isnt the usual bland crap done quickly on a cheap commission. This music show passion and craft in its composition. The person who made this music clearly gave a damn and didnt just knock something out for a paycheck. Brilliant stuff that adds greatly to atmosphere and ambient enough to never get tiring. If I could change anything, I would add an option to view the map in fullscreen, its a bit small for my less than perfect vision sometimes. Also the option to play in portrait mode would be nice, to make it easier to play one-handed. Minor niggles though, roll on version 2!

Very good remake!

I used to play this game on my Commodore 64, and I must say that this remake is remarkably well done. Graphics are very nice, while keeping the retro look. Music is outstanding and never gets boring. I would also like to be able to see the map in fullscreen, but thats a minor gripe. Highly recommended!

Sweet Nostalgia

This is the epitome of addictive dungeon crawling! I love it.

25 years later

Couldnt ask for a better flashback to my good ol Commodore 64

Incredible Retro Dungeoncrawling fun!

Beautifully exwcuted gameplay in the flavour of Amulet of Yendor. 8-bit graphical look it excellent. Controls well, if a bit touchy at times. Completely addicted!

Lovely shuk-shuk-shuk down memory lane..

Has everything that made the classic 64 game great, with modern additions that build sensibly on the traditional elements. Enjoying it!

Great game!!

As soon as I downloaded this, I deleted rogue touch!! I like the option of avoiding a confrontation. The controls seem easy enough and the gameplay is simple. I also like the fact that the gold counts for something instead of weight. Good job!!

Meh

Game was fun for roughly 5 minutes its very repetitive nothing extraordinary to be honest I wish there would be shops to buy more gear and stats when you level up

Great game

Would pay if the system is more complicated and there is an objective

Surprisingly fun

Good Game make sure you grab it when its free

Classic

Classic RPG. Grind and all

Awesome game

Oddly compelling and fun. Definitely worth the download.

Most Enjoyable

Fun game overall. Have had many hours of gameplay. LEGEND Difficulty is way too hard. Monsters are too hard to kill. Have spent over 30min trying to kill one monster (ie: Gargoyle), and am still on Level-1.

Great

Fun and addictive!

Fun uncomplicated RPG

The more you play, the deeper the experience.

Awesome classic.

I still love it. A manual would be nice (what EXACTLY does Beacon do, or the Eye of the Dragon). I keep finding new things!

Loved the original, and now this!

I used to play the original on my C64. I was only able to reach the sword twice, but always ran out of time before escaping the dungeon. I love the ease of use! There are the same spells, new spells and wands for ranged attacks. The new monsters are great. I really enjoy playing; my PC isnt feeling the love right now, since Ive been pretty dedicated to my iPad since buying this game ;)

Dungeon Crawling at its finest

This game is terrific, hands down. If you like fantasy quests, with dragons and elves and magic, this is for you. The interface is smooth an easy to use. the sounds are delightfully retro, lifted and inspired by the original. The soundtrack is great, too! All in all, this is probably my favourite game, both the original, and the inspired remake.
